Upload only photos and videos you captured yourself, or that you have the right to share. Don’t upload anything misleading, infringing, unsafe for public display, or unrelated to aircraft.

To publish your work, we may transcode, trim, resize, and normalize it, and pull still frames from videos. We use AI to read the aircraft, tail number, type, and airport so your photos and videos are automatically tagged and searchable.

We keep the original file when the upload finishes. You can choose a size cap for that archived original. An original that is still transferring and is left idle for about 45 minutes may be archived from the preview already received. You can delete anything you have uploaded. We may decline, unpublish, or remove media that fails a quality or safety check.

You keep ownership of everything you upload. By uploading, you grant TailVideosand the aviation sites we operate a non-exclusive license to host, display, resize, crop, embed, and create derivative versions of your photos and videos — for example thumbnails, previews, and share images — including on the aircraft, registration, and airport pages your uploads relate to.

We credit you on your original photos and videos. Attribution may not carry over to derivative or resized versions (such as thumbnails, montages, or share cards).

A new upload is accepted under the contribution terms of October 12, 2026. Those terms cover display on current and future Tail properties, First Catch reward eligibility, and the only future company that can receive the agreement. They do not license unrelated customers. The October 6, 2026 contribution terms stay at their original address. Earlier uploads stay on the paragraphs above. A later page does not rewrite an acceptance that was not made.

There is no separate First Catch signup. Reward eligibility is in the contribution terms accepted at upload, and those terms are reaffirmed when a payout is requested. The First Catch terms of October 6, 2026, revision 2 remain the earlier reward agreement. They are not a second checkbox. Photograph the whole aircraft when you can. Aim to include the entire aircraft; minor cropping is acceptable when about 80% remains visible and the aircraft can be clearly identified. The tail number still needs to be readable. About 80% is how much of the aircraft remains visible, not how much of the frame it fills. A close call is reviewed rather than automatically rejected. That additional license applies only to the specific photographs covered by a successful payment under the accepted agreement. It does not broaden the license for unpaid contributions or replace an existing third-party license.

The product is still evolving. Features, states, and retention rules may change as we harden the system for long-term use.
